Be aware of the thoughts you are thinking. Separate them from the situation, which is always neutral, which always is as it is.

There is the situation or the fact, and here are my thoughts about it. Instead of making up stories, stay with the facts.

For example, “I am ruined” is a story.

It limits you and prevents you from taking effective action. “I have fifty cents left in my bank

account” is a fact. Facing facts is always empowering. Be aware that what you think, to a large

extent, creates the emotions that you feel. See the link between your thinking and your

emotions. Rather than being your thoughts and emotions, be the awareness behind them.


Not even sure I could add anything more to that… It just is…

  1. If you can be composed enough to observe your emotions reacting to your thoughts–you can then choose what to focus on (or not) and your reaction to a given stimulus–and therein lies peace. πŸ™‚ Good ‘un, Kryptonite Man…:)

  2. Thank you very much for this thought today. I try to keep those thoughts at bay. sometimes it is hard to do. You are right Clark, there is a strength in facing the facts. Tremendous post!

    • It is hard to see when life’s situations create an identity in you.. Simple words become simple truths that identify you the I am incorrectly. You have no use for this nor does the time lost in doing this. Let go of all attachments to these truths to find the truth. You are not your mind.. Never will be! Thank you my friend!
