How the mind uses you!

How does this mind pattern operate in your life? Are you always trying to get somewhere other than where you are? Is most of your doing just a means to an end? Is fulfillment always just around the corner or confined to short-lived pleasures, such as sex, food, drink, drugs, or thrills and excitement? Are you always focused on becoming, achieving, and attaining, or alternatively chasing some new thrill or pleasure? Do you believe that if you acquire more things you will become more fulfilled, good enough, or psychologically complete? Are you waiting for a man or woman to give meaning to your life?

  1. I’ve felt it, Clark. Not for long, which makes sense because when you have it you’re wise enough not to try to grab it and hold it forever. Wise enough not to think about forever.

Yearning for it and feeling it are so different. Yes, I’ve felt it through love as well. Is that the cheapest way or the most nobel? Certainly the least sustainable or predictible. Does losing it when it came to you through love prove that you were deluded to feel it in the first place? Does that matter?

I know you’d say the trick is to let go. To stop the circles within circles that will always entail being slammed against the metaphorical pavement as surely as it will entail soaring. But even letting go leaves you spinning. Everything lasts only a moment. Everything.

There is something else. Something beyond all this substance, no doubt. But to think about it is to carve it into words, to shred off its beauty in order to sculpt it into something knowable.

I suspect that we are here to suffer and struggle. I have no idea why. Is it wrong to try to find joy and peace in meaningless distractions?

    • To empty ones mind is to let go of all attachment to include the mind and it’s incessant ranting.. It means be as any ocean.. It can have ripples and waves on top but deep within.. in the core it is calm.. It realizes life.. it realizes being! Be able to let go of any thought process that would tell you that we are here to suffer we are here to struggle… none of this thought process was something you brought before you got here and when you leave here you will not take it with you.. This experience is about choice.. yes plain and simple.. You can chose to be of love, choice to have circumstances of this life holding you in bondage, But past this point what if you were able to get completely in touch with the frequency of the experience you can have here by choice…Deep Connection.. When you leave or before you got here there was a place unlike anything were you were always connected.. always in bliss… In human form we are so alone inside ourselves when the questions we are looking for are asked inside and it echoes with no return answer… This is the search we all seek is it not? If you never take the time element out of the equation you chase it blindly and randomly never realizing you are not time.. nor were you ever.. In connection between two that have love this is lost due to time..due to life situations.. To remove yourself from that way of being.. You remove yourself by realizing you have a choice!

    • I’m going to add my two cents worth here, I’m not sure if you know of the Law of Attraction, specifically as put forth by Esther and Jerry Hicks which I think might also be known as the Law of Abraham. I think you can find some of their videos on Youtube. My point in bringing this up is that what we believe, what we focus on in our lives is what we create more of. So if you believe that life is a struggle and we are here to suffer then you are attracting more of that into your life. The trick to being happy is to BE happy. Like Clark said, it’s a choice and one you are making with every thought you think whether you realize it or not. Now I’m not saying I have this down pat, lol, it’s something I have to remind myself of every day and several times a day right now. However I do recommend that you watch some of their videos and they also have a couple of books out too that you might find helpful.

There are times when I too find some peace in meaningless distractions but I do find that my soul will not allow me to be distracted for very long before giving me something else to work on. I will agree that there are times when this journey of self-discovery can be down right painful as I have found that to be the case in my own life. However the pain brings knowing and learning and growing. There is no easy way to do this but to get our hands dirty and dig out what no longer serves us. This can be old belief systems or templates which are not necessarily our own but are part of our genealogy or ancestry as well as from our own past lives. We, as Lightworkers, are also clearing these belief systems and templates as well as old and negative energy from the collective consciousness. So there are times when a simple acknowledgement of what you are feeling or thinking and then letting it go is all that is needed. Try not to get caught up in it as it passes through. We are at this time clearing our emotional/etheric bodies to be more in tune with the energies coming into or already on this planet as she moves forth to the higher dimensions. As my mother is fond of saying “this too shall pass”.

I hope this helps some. Take care.

      Carolyn

      • Thank you, Carolyn. I will, indeed, look at the videos on Youtube. I see the evidence of striving for peace and the effect that it has on those who try. I usually, if not always, trust that there is wisdom there.

My struggle is that “home base” to me is disbelief. I think myself crazy for feeling any connection to the universe. I think we’re all lost in a land of fantasy and I, very sadly, wake up after some time spent wishing and wondering.
